Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day

# HappyCerebralPalsyAwarenessDay

I love calling this day Cerebral Palsy Pride because it has taken me forever to come to this point in my life. When I was little, I was able to answer questions like what happened to your legs?  Without feeling judged by others, I was proud to be in the disability community.  As I became a college student, opinions became loud and overwhelming.  At the age of 39, I willingly told  myself to check out   @rollettesexperience

That was the kick in the butt that I needed to come into the woman God created me to be    if I could go back in time and give
Little Marie and college-age Marie, some advice would be “as you get older, your body is going to change, and so are your preferences for  the way you
move around, there will always be opinions. But. You  have the autonomy to get around the way you want to, especially. At the age you are now.  “

Happy Real life Green Girl month. March is national Cerebral Palsy awareness month, but I would prefer to call it Cerebral Palsy pride month 💚It’s taken time for me to see that my disability is a blessing that God is using in my life and using me to be a good example to the disabled community around me. I love my life 💚💚
