Today I had the awesome opportunity to learn about the brain from Mayim Bialik. She played Blossom on the TV show Blossom in the 90s and most recently she played Amy on The Big Bang Theory. It’s safe to say that I have looked up to her for most of my life.I have always been a person who was interested in knowing why something was happening in my body. I have had cerebral Palsy from birth and when I was old enough, told the people around me that wanted to know as much as I could about my condition.I felt and still feel that it is important for anyone to know about any conditions they may have, because, God forbid if you are in an accident or simply in a situation in which you need to be your own advocate in a medical setting that you can do so with confidence. Two years ago when I was admitted to the hospital with a migraine I found out though a cat scan that I have a Dandy-Walker malformation, which in the simplest terms affects the cerebellum and is b condition that caused my cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus. The Brain is an amazing piece of craftsmanship
