30 Day writing challenge Day 6: Advice to the class of 2020

Dear class of 2020 congratulations on all your accomplishments! I want to take some time now to leave with you some advice.

  • For 12 years of your life you were told what you needed to get done in order to be a successful person, but now that you’re an adult your education is your choice. You can choose to go to school or not.
  • If you do choose to go to school, you are no less valuable if you choose to get a certificate instead of getting a degree. What matters is that you see your chosen program through from start to finish.
  • This may sound strange in light of point 2, but it’s ok to change your mind.
  • Speak up and remove phrases like nevermind from your vocabulary. Speak your heart
  • Don’t go out into the world looking for love in order to complete you or your partner, be complete and you will be able to compliment and add something to someone’s life
  • Dress well everyday leave pajamas at home
  • Take up space while being respectful to others.
  • If you find yourself in a situation where an I Love you cones out of your mouth, don’t be sorry or embarrassed, because the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
  • Spend time with your family as often as you spend time with your friends
  • Don’t be afraid to spend time alone
  • Encourage others
