We say this hoping that people will.be comforted, but what if their world is falling apart around them. There are three reasons we should not say this to anyone.

1. The truth matters
2. God holds us accountable for what we say
3. We do each other a disservice when we say these things

Three Truths to Hold on to

1. God will never give you more than he can handle

“Ah, Sovereign Lord , you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

Jeremiah 32:17

2.  God will be with you in whatever he gives you

“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
Matthew 1:23

3. God always has a purpose in what she gives you
