HI I hope you’re having a great day today. Tonight is the first @frankdlantermanrc board meeting of the year. I’ll be working from home tonight. It’s an honor to be able to use my voice to help my community

I’m changing my profile picture because I am a disabled woman who is an advocate in California. I’m proud to have the platform that I do and I will work with my colleagues to make sure our state is treated with the respect and dignity we deserve I also will pass on lessons that I learn to my friends in other states.
What’s your dream job?
When I was little I wanted to be a singer like Tiffany in the 1980s. Today as an adult I would love to be on Broadway but if that doesn’t happen I love what I do as a podcast host and advocate. I love using my voice to help others
Today is the #NationalDayofdisabilityacceptance it’s a very different day. Today I pledge to be a voice for my community. I don’t want to see our community treated like second class citizens by the people who took office today.
Tomorrow January 20th is known as the national day of acceptance in the disability community. My relationship to my disability has been a rollercoaster at times. I’ve faced the loss of a best friend and a massive amount of opinion, in the past five years and even more recently the past six months I have learned that I don’t have to let the opinions of others get to me. Last but not least I have learned that I am called to be an example to the younger people that I know
