My thoughts on Dressing up when you go out

I’ve been on my personal journey to dress well for almost a year.

In that time I’ve learned that you can dress well for any ocaission, going to the theatre, lunch with your best friends, or even staying home and relaxing. I believe the statistic that states , every human is a 1 in 400 trillion Chance of being born. I also believe deep in my soul that we were created by a loving creaser God.

It is because of that, that I am writing this. I believe that the only person whose behavior you can. control is your own.

I believe that part of being a true lady and carrying yourself with poise is being able to stay focused on the company you are with in that moment. Yes, there may be someone at a neighboring table is not dressed to the standard you think is appropriate and you may feel truly bothered by what you are seeing if you find yourself in that situation, politely speak to a server and ask to move to a different table if possible, Don’t let the behavior or appearence of others make you grumble and be grumpy. The only thing You Can Do is Put Your Best foot forward

Turn to him in prayer

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Understand God’s purpose

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

At The Cross- The Hardened skeptic

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

Hebrews 12:2

At The Cross With The Roman Soldier

Some of the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into their headquarters and called out the entire regiment. They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!” And they spit on him and grabbed the stick and struck him on the head with it. When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified. Along the way, they came across a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, and the soldiers forced him to carry Jesus’ cross. And they went out to a place called Golgotha (which means “Place of the Skull”). The soldiers gave Jesus wine mixed with bitter gall, but when he had tasted it, he refused to drink it. After they had nailed him to the cross, the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. Then they sat around and kept guard as he hung there. A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”

How I met my friend John Lloyd Young, and our Amazing Friendship

October 2014

I met my friend John Lloyd Young on October 13th 2014. At the time I had no idea that I would gain such an amazing friend.

The day of his show, I arrived at Sterling’s Upstairs at the Federal an hour before the show. When my mom and I arrived, we saw that there was a line to enter and waited to go in.

When the show started the band began to play
Can’t Take my Eyes off of You

John began to sing , but was no where to be found. My mom then nudged me and excitedly whispered

Turn around he’s right behind you!

I did and he was looking right at me.

During the show John took a stroll through the audience while singing

Hey There Lonely Girl

While he was singing he stopped right in front of me to sing to me! He wanted to old my hand, but I did let him.

After the show their was a meet and greet. I bought John’s CD
My Turn

I waited in line, and when it was my turn 😀to meet John. I said
Hi, my name is Marie, will you sign this for me?

He took it from me and said

M-A-R-I-E?

I said

Yes!

He signed it, and we took a picture. Before I left I asked him,
Can I have a hug?

He said

How can I say No?!

And he hugged me.
September 2015
By this time I had seen John maybe 15 or 20 times. The theme of the meet and greet was wonder woman. By this time, I knew that John was a friend that I could Completely trust physically, because we had taken a few walker free photos together; our first taking place on

August 10th 2015

When I got my chance to say hi to John, he said
Hey I have an Idea for our picture. Can you hold your walker up in the air? Grab it from the middle.

I did and a friend of ours held the legs of my walker so it wouldn’t wobble. We too our pictures and after John looked at me and said
You’re a Badass

I was in shock and I walked away without saying a word. What he said had made my soul so happy. I came home and cried for what seemed like half an hour. The next day I went to work and went for two walks that day. One in the morning and one on my lunch break.
I absolutely love John. ❤️
Every opportunity that I get to have a conversation with him, I Know that he truly cares and I am 100 percent certain that there are other fans/friends of his that feel exactly the same way

Where is God when. Life is unfair?

Where was God when Life was unfair for Joseph?

1. God was with Joseph

The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.

Genesis 39:2‭-‬3 NLT

The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.

Genesis 39:23

“These patriarchs were jealous of their brother Joseph, and they sold him to be a slave in Egypt. But God was with him and rescued him from all his troubles. And God gave him favor before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. God also gave Joseph unusual wisdom, so that Pharaoh appointed him governor over all of Egypt and put him in charge of the palace.

Acts of the Apostles 7:9‭-‬10

“At that time I gave this command to the tribes that would live east of the Jordan: ‘Although the Lord your God has given you this land as your property, all your fighting men must cross the Jordan ahead of your Israelite relatives, armed and ready to assist them.

Deuteronomy 3:18

2. God was giving Joseph options

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

1 Corinthians 10:13

“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also. Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. Do to others as you would like them to do to you.

Luke 6:27‭-‬31

3. God was using what was meant for evil to bring about good

You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.

Genesis 50:20 NLT

God with us: in the future

All right then, the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look! The Virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and you will call him Emmanuel!

Isaiah 7:14

1. I can face the future with courage

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord , the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

2. I can face the future with hope

For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord they are plans for good and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope

Jeremiah 29 :11

3. I can face the future with anticipation

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come get you so that you will be with me where I am.

John 14:1-3

Memory Verse

For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.

Philippians I:21

When Josh Groban waved at me

For my 25th birthday back in 2007 I went to Vegas to see Josh Groban. He was on Tour with his album called Awake it was one of the best Birthdays When I was enjoying the show, an usher came up to me and said

Excuse me, are you one of those girls?

Excited and flustered I said

YES!

He continued to tell me,

Josh is going back to his dressing room, then he’s going to come back through the lobby to make his enterace for his next song, would you like to be one of the people to wave at him?

I said

Yes! I would love that

My mom and I started to race to the spot where we were asked to go.

I was able to be in front of the crowd so I could see, and five minutes later, Josh walks through the door. He waved at the crowed then waved directly at me.

I asked my mom if she got a picture and she said

Oh shoot he waved already

She had missed it!

We went back and watched the rest of the show; then after the show we met up with my family. I had found out the Josh and his band were having a party at studio 54 inside the MGM Grand and I wanted to go see who I could see, of course I hoped I could see Josh.

While waiting I had the pleasure of meeting some of the band members from Josh’s opening act. Then I had the pleasure of meeting tarik Akonie he is Josh’s music director and lead guitarist. It was an experience I will never forget!

Where is God when my world is is falling apart?

God is where he Always is, Doing what he always does.

God is Empowering us to live in our new world. He does this by:

1. Giving us his peace

That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said.

John 20:19

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

John

14:27

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

2. By reminding us of his provision

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.

Luke 5:4‭-‬7 NLT

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 NLT

There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need.

Acts 4:34-35

3. By indwelling us with his Sprit

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts of the Apostles 1:8

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

1 Peter 4:8‭-‬10
