Today is #nationalaccessinilityawarenessday

The seven-year-old me knew what it felt like to be separated from friends by people who don’t know what you’re capable of. 

The adult me at vitellos knows what it feels like not to be included and then have an awesome friend or two have you back and want you to be included. 

As a community, people with disabilities have to do a ton of extra work. When planning to go out and I’m not referring to getting your equipment in your car. 

We often have to check for accessibility three times. 

Society is not at the place where it should be with accommodations 

Now is the time for us in the disability community to stay visible to change the world,  One thing at a time.

Thank you to everyone for the Birthday; wishes yesterday. It was a beautiful day that started a little strange; God woke me up at 4 am, and I was out of bed by 7. Today im watching the @ladodgersgirls home opener, and tomorrow, my celebration continues with family brunch. Pictures are coming soon. I'm not revealing where im going, but it will.be so much fun to be in that special place.

The first picture was taken a year ago tomorrow on my 38th birthday; the second picture was taken a few minutes ago.  Today I’m spending some time saying goodbye and thank you to year 38 of my life.  You were surprisingly eventful on a personal level.

This year made me think deeply about education and the fact that I probably didn’t need nine years of college to learn what I am drawn to.   This year also made me realize that no matter how stupid we think we sound, we need to speak what’s in our hearts.   Lastly, If it wasn’t for this year, it wasn’t for this year, I would have never started my podcast and discovered that I love it more than making videos
