Thank you so much to those who have supported me and Encouragement Notes for the past two years. I believe that my purpose in life is to help people be the person that God created them to be. I 1000% believe that this was given to me as a ministry to show people that you can live a full life and still follow Jesus Christ. Being a follower of Christ does not mean that you have to live a dull life.

1. In Christ’s suffering he turned his focus toward others

Telling people what Jesus has done in my life
I’m passionate about telling people about Jesus and what he has done in my life because he is why I am still alive. Even before I accepted him as my Lord and Savior, he was at work in my life, and he is still working on me today.
Getting people to stop using the words Disabled, Disability, and able-bodied
I have had a back and forth, up and down relationship with how I view myself and my cerebral palsy. I will admit that I started calling myself differently-abled when I came home from a week in Sacramento after graduating from high school. I was chosen to attend the governor’s committee of people with disabilities. One of the first nights there, we were shown a documentary that chronicled the history of how people with disabilities were viewed and talked about. The documentary said that the proper way to speak about a person with a disability was differently-abled.
Now that I am older and I am healing more every day from what people around me, honestly, primarily strangers, thought I should be. I have chosen not to use the words disabled, differently-abled, or disability as it relates to me personally. I have decided to say I use a walker or a wheelchair because I don’t see those things as part of my identity. They are equipment, and I am someone who uses them for assistance.
I am proud to be associated with people who use the term disabled community. Still, the reason why I do not like these terms is that they go against the things that these amazing people stand for. The word disabled means not able, yet I know tons of people who are kicking butt in life, so yes, they are able! And if you think of the word differently-abled, Everyone in the world is differently-abled because we were all created unique, not one of us is the same.
Furthermore, the word able-bodied is one of the most heartless words I have ever heard. I believe that it implies that people who are not equipment users or that are viewed as living without struggle are somehow better than those who use assistance and have to do things in life at a different pace

I am not Disabled
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
John 1:1-5

1. The Word of God is a Person, not a principle

1. Remember where you are

2. Reduce distraction

3. Remain connected

We need to remain connected to:
- The commander – God is our commander. He wants us to keep communicating with him in prayer and by reading his word.
- The Troops- we need to stay connected to our family of believers because we can’t live this life alone
Ten things I’ve learned this year
- Know that God creates you, and you only have one purpose, to glorify God. The things we do are the tool we use to serve.
- It’s ok to take baby steps, just start moving toward something
- Do not label yourself or anyone else in a negative way.
- Speak your mind but do it tactfully
- Dress up in small ways every day
- Education and schooling are two different things. Education is always needed. Schooling is not.
- Change will only stick if YOU want it to.
- Sometimes you have to go backward in order to go forward in life.
- Choose the opinions you take seriously carefully
- Don’t be afraid be a late bloomer, at least you’re growing.

Three Keys to greatness
- Start by calling sin sin
- Commit to outserving your friends, family, and others
- Don’t try to be the greatest you; you can be. Try to be the best Jesus you can be.
1 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. To discover the purpose for my life I need to…
1. Connect with God personality
God’s unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ, and this gave him great pleasure.

2. Commit to god’s people
They committed themselves to the other believers and devoted themselves to the Apostles teaching and fellowship, sharing in the Lord’s Supper and in prayer

3. Communicate God’s Love
My life is worth noting to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus the work of telling others the good news about the wonderful grace of God

Three things God wants everyone to do.
- Get right with God, accept him as your Lord and Savior
- Get baptized; This is the first thing we must do as followers of Christ. It’s the first public statement of our faith in Christ
- Help others find Jesus; we are not meant to keep the good news to ourselves
