May is national mobility aid month. Over the past 4 years I’ve learned that using a walker does not make me better than if I were to choose my chair. Both of these pieces of equipment give me the freedom I need to move about my community and I am no less weaker for choosing one over the other. I love both pieces of equipment and they have led me to some pretty cool places.

Mark 12:28-34 NIV [28] One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Last July, when I was at Rollette’s Experience, I received a phone call from Lanterman Regional Center, and when I was able to return the call, I was offered a spot in a self-advocacy training that started me on a path that I will never walk away from.
